President’s Message Hello Comrades: As 2020 comes to a close, we have hope and optimism that in 2021 the vaccine will begin to fight off COVID 19. Perhaps in spring or early summer we may be able to get back to some kind of normalcy.... The Branch Financials continue to remain in good shape. We opened in September and closed again in December as we have advanced into the red zone. The Branch has not been busy. We did try a modified Meat Roll but due to Members not feeling comfortable being with others we had to suspend that too. Thank you to all the volunteers who did their part helping out with the various duties throughout the Branch to keep it running smoothly while we were open. Comrade Klara Morritti has asked me, on her behalf, to thank everyone who donated to the Poppy Campaign this year. At this time I would also like to thank my Executive Committee for their dedication and contributions at keeping the Branch functioning. Our Membership drive has been very successful, but due to the Branch closing, you can renew on-line at legion.com or if this is not feasible send an email to the Branch at [email protected] and leave your name and telephone number. Comrade Wendy Nasurick, our Membership Chair, will contact you. A little chuckle: We are going to stay up on New Year’s Eve this year, not to ring in the New Year, but to make sure 2020 leaves.
