Looking to attend an 11 November Remembrance Day ceremony? Why not join us, the Wolfville Legion and Acadia University at Convocation Hall. You should arrive early, NLT 10am as you will need proof of vaccines and wear a mask under NS Health regulations and will be checked by university security. Parking is limited. The actual indoor ceremony starts at 10:45am sharp. We will be conducting a brief (approx 15 minute) wreath laying ceremony outdoors at the Town of Wolfville's War Memorial Cenotaph (in front of the Post Office) at 12:10 or soon thereafter. Hope to see you there as we Remember the Fallen.

What a proud day it was when we presented Comrade Hubert Sullivan the first Poppy to kick off the 2021 Poppy Campaign on behalf of the Wolfville Legion. Hubert is one of two WWII Veteran that remain with the Wolfville Branch, the other being Glynn Fenton. Hubert has been a proud member for over 65 years, serving in several capacities such as a President and Chair of the Poppy Campaign. His wife Merriam Sullivan, also a great supporter and volunteer over the past 65 years, was on hand.

Coffee Social / Vaccine Passports / Membership Dues Our Toonie coffee and tea socials have been going well and we aim to keep it going at the White Rock Hall every Wednesday morning 930-1130am until we get back into the Legion building itself. When you come to the Wednesday coffees you need to bring two things, your mask and your updated Covid Vaccine Passport. For this week only we will accept your original vaccine passport which states who you are, which vaccines you receiv...ed and when The new Passports have a QR CODE on them (sort of similar to what you see on items you purchase) 1. To download a copy of this Passport you need to access the same site you received your original one. 2. Enter the last 4 numbers of your NS Health Card 3. Download the image and save onto your computer or phone 4. If on your computer print off the page, fold it and carry in your wallet or purse You will be needing this to gain access to gyms, restaurants, events etc so you may as well do it now. You also need to have a picture proof ID I printed off the updated version plus have a copy on my phone Hope to see you at coffee this Wednesday. Looking for something fun to do right in your own backyard. Why not join us, The Wolfville Legion, on Saturday 25 September from 10am to 3pm. We start the day off right with a coffee/tea break, a little stroll thru the woods before a scrumptious BBQ lunch. After lunch a few fun games of washer toss or a stroll over to the range to listen to some history on the Black Powder Era and maybe try your hand at firing a few shots. What a great way to gather outside safely and socialize for a good cause. Everyone is welcome, not just Legion Members

Hello everyone Our Wolfville Legion Coffee and Tea Socials on Wednesdays at the White Rock Community Center are Cancelled for the next few weeks! There was an update Covid-19 briefing from the Premier and Dr Strange today at 3pm. Our coffee would not be allowed in HRM Halifax area and they are recommending that the rest of the Province follow suit. They have not said we have too but strongly encourage it.... They don't want people to travel to and from HRM as well. There is at least one case in Kings County, a student from NEKEC. There was 37 cases today across the Province and 11 yesterday and 11 Sunday and NS has a total of 87 active cases. I consulted our executive on whether we "Should cancel coffees for the next two Wednesdays and make a decision for the next one for 9 Dec a few days before then?" The response was unanimous. I will keep you posted on FB and our web page at wolfvillelegion.com yours in Comradeship Comrade Paul Murphy CD2 1st VP and Membership Chair The Royal Canadian Legion Dr C.B.
