Health care aides work with residents of all ages in a variety of settings such as the hospitals, retirement homes, long term facilities, assisted living centers, other private health care and community agencies. The Alberta Health Care Aide Program can be completed in five (5) months. Training in the Health Care Aide Program provides the opportunity for students to develop basic nursing and social service training skills necessary for employment.
