Even though it may feel like the last time you visited the ROM dinosaurs actually roamed the Earth, we’re excited to open our doors once again and welcome you back to the Museum. We’ll be re-opening Thursday, July 9 to Members and Saturday, July 11 to the public. Timed tickets will be go on sale July 6 for Members and July 7 for the public. Please note that only permanent galleries will be open at this time, and while we look forward to welcoming you back to #ROMwinnie in th...e near future we are still hard at work making it safe for you and your family. We’re following the advice of public health authorities and making every effort to ensure visits are enjoyable, entertaining and, above all, safe. As we re-open the ROM to the public, we ask you to work with us to keep the Museum a safe place for yourself, for all visitors and for our staff by carefully reading the guidelines available through the link below. Only 2 dinosaur species are known to have had wings made out of stretched skin, like bats. Unlike bats, these dinos were capable of only limited gliding between trees. That bat-winged gliding turned out to be a dead-end along the path to the evolution of flight. They are a failed experiment."
