This is Joseph Novak. He is 97 years old and he is a veteran of World War II. The Lance Corporal helped liberate the Netherlands. Today he lives on his own in ...downtown Whitehorse. He is kind, witty and his memory remains sharp. I was fortunate to sit down with Joseph for a CBC Remembrance Day special. He talked about his service, his family and his new friendship with a fellow veteran 54 years his junior. It was a career highlight.
