Did you miss our last RCCSS(C) Chats session with Dr. Janice Drover? Well, you can watch it here now! Dr. Janice Drover is a Sports Chiro from St. John’s, NL. She has a BSc in Human Kinetics from Ottawa U, and attended CMCC for both her DC and Sports Sciences programs. She has extensive experience working as a chiropractor in team settings. She has represented Canada as part of the HST for the Commonwealth and Pan Am Games and is looking forward to Tokyo 2020ne! Janice has b...een traveling with Canada Soccer’s MNT program since 2018 and she is the team chiropractor for the ECHL’s NL Growlers. She has also spent three seasons working with the St. John’s Edge NBL Basketball team. She is in private practice in St. John’s NL, and enjoys working with youth athletes at the local and provincial level. RCCSS(C) Fellow Dr. Mohsen Kazemi and his team are conducting a research survey to investigate the first week post-concussion experience in 18 years of age and older concussed individuals. There are no risks to the participants of this study. All information will be kept confidential. If you are 18 years old or older and have suffered from a concussion in the past year or currently, you qualify for this research. Your participation is very much appreciated to help shed some l...ight on this aspect of concussion that has not investigated to our knowledge. Your participation is completely voluntary, and you may withdraw from this study at any time without consequence. He is the founder of First Principles of Movement which is dedicated to promoting health span and preventing disability by add...ressing the worldwide inactivity crisis. Dr. Liebenson has engaged in research as a Visiting Scholar at Pr. Stuart McGill’s Spine Biomechanics Laboratory at the University of Waterloo, Department of Biomechanics & Kinesiology. Dr. Liebenson is the Founder and Director of L.A. Sports & Spine, providing health span and performance enhancement advice. He supervises one on one, TeleHealth and group Medical Rehabilitation. He began studying directly with both Dr. Karel Lewit and Pr Vladimir Janda beginning in 1987 after launching The Visiting Scholar's Program at his Alma Mater. He is Continuing Education faculty with Parker University in Dallas Texas and has served on the editorial boards of numerous journals including the Journal of Occupational Rehabilitation; the PM&R Journal of Injury, Function and Rehabilitation; the Journal of Bodywork and Movement Therapy; and Journal of Manual Therapy. Dr Liebenson was the first ever chiropractic member of the McKenzie Institute (U.S.) Board of Directors and is a past Associate Professor at Murdoch University in Perth, Australia. Dr. Liebenson extensively publishes and is the editor of the book/DVD Rehabilitation of the Spine: A Person-Centered Approach (3rd ed), 2020; & The Functional Training Handbook. His books have been published in Spanish, Greek, Korean, Traditional Chinese, Portuguese and Japanese. She is the founder of Thrive NeuroSport Rehabilitation and Performance and the Clinical NeuroSport Education (CNS-Ed) platform. Katie is currently a PhD Candidate in the Department of Kinesiology & Physical Education at Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario.
