We’re still counting the total amount collected, but our Club participated once again in the Salvation Army's Christmas Kettle, gathering donations for this iconic and wonderful cause. We pulled out all the stops to spread Christmas cheer and compete with our friends at the New Westminster Rotary club. Stay tuned for the final results!

In partnership with the New Westminster Rotary Club, we were thrilled to present Captain Alfred Esdaille of the New Westminster Salvation Army and the Merrilyn Cook of the Purpose Society, with this cheque for $29,452! Funds also went to the 2 Rotary Clubs of New Westminster to assist them in their charitable endeavors. These funds were raised through our 2021 Rotary Pot of Gold Charity Golf Tournament, which was generously sponsored by Cassady & Co. The wonderful Dorie Anne Leggett, a Partner at Cassady & Co was in attendance to help us hold the giant cheque!

THANK YOU TO ALL WHO PARTICIPATED in the 25th Annual Rotary Pot of Gold Charity Golf Tournament! The tournament raised approximately $30,000 this year from the generosity of our sponsors, donors, and golfers. Since the first Pot of Gold tournament in 1996, we have raised $600,000 for charity. Proceeds will be used by the two Rotary Clubs to fund youth programs in our community (RYLA, Youth Exchange, bursaries and Adventure programs). Partial proceeds are also donated to Salvation Army (New Westminster) and Lower Mainland Purpose School, a specialized school for students who face challenges in the public school system. Please join me in thanking our member Gordon Hobbis and his wife Nina, owners of The Original Bike Shop and Cap's Bicycle Museum for their very generous donation. They acknowledge that Covid 19 has been devastating for many people, and wanted to give back to their community at this time. Such kindness

GDRS email.png Good Morning Friends, As of today, Saturday March 20th, the Rotaract Club of New Westminster would like to announce it's launch of the Grocery Delivery Relief Service. The high risk of COVID-19 ... for seniors and those who are immunocompromised is still prevalent. Once again, we understand that during this pandemic it may be difficult to purchase groceries and other essential products. Because of this, we would like to offer our services free of delivery charge. For more information, please visit our website linked below: Grocery Delivery Relief Service Registration If you're interested in registering with our Club, click this link to register: Service Registration Our Hygiene Commitment Only volunteers who are healthy enough and have not been sick in the past 14 days will be picking up and delivering groceries. By doing so, we minimize the risk of further exposure. We further reduce your risk by: Ensuring that our vehicles are cleaned thoroughly Sanitizing our hands and wearing gloves before entering stores Wearing masks as a precaution when picking up items Leaving groceries at your door and waiting until you've received them If you or someone you know would benefit from this service, please feel free to forward this email to them. Kindest regards, Ben
