Italian tour 2019 last year this time.... St. Alphonsus Maria de Liguori (Sept. 27, 1696Aug. 1, 1787), an Italian Catholic bishop, spiritual writer, moral theologian, founder of the Redemptorists, and Doctor of the Church came from. He was canonized in 1839 by Pope Gregory XVI. Day 1 and 2 Naples... Today we arrived in Naples from Vancouver, situated on a beautiful bay along the Mediterranean coast. We went straight for lunch to Trattoria Don Alfonso (family owned and run restaurant) where we were greeted and treated by the beautiful southern Italian hospitality. Our group was treated like family in this restaurant, we had two of our lunches here on Day 1 and 2. Pictures included in the video. After lunch we checked into our hotel. The following day after a great breakfast and awesome cappuccinos we proceed on a city tour of Naples. We were not expecting it to rain but it was very cloudy and it did rain ; Our guided City tour of Naples included a panoramic drive that took us to Mergellina, Castel dell’Ovo, Plebiscito Square, the Royal Palace, and the Maschio Angioino with its triumphal arch and deep moats. We managed to get some pictures in the rain of the famous view of the city, the bay and (cannot be seen as was raining) Mt. Vesuvius. Later that afternoon we visited the Hospital of the Incurables (Ospedale degli Incurabili, Naples. #royaleorchidtours See more
