Discovery of Skijoring: As winter is establishing itself, snow is covering our lands. It's time to plan fun winter activities with our horses. What about Skijoring? Skijoring is a sport that has been adopted hundreds of years ago by the Sami people. They would strap themselves on nordic skis and get pulled by reindeers to travel long distances as a mean of transportation. #casualyskiingbehindmyreindeer ... Today, The equine variation of skijoring consists of a skier, a horse and a rider(optional). It has mainly been adopted by western riders as a competitive sport. In Canada we can find it mostly in Alberta. The riders will ask their horse to go full speed and the win will be in the hand of the skier. He will have to execute jumps, slaloms and even catch rings. The race track can be straight or curved adding an extra difficulty for the skier. Our beloved Tater Tot is looking for a new farm and family to call his own! Cutest miniature horse you will ever meet. 6 Year Old. Well handled. Sweet, affect...ionate, and spunky. He loves having a job. Trailers great, good for vet and farrier, wonderful with other horses, and happy to go on adventures. Great for pony rides. Such a fun mini!

Little Rancher in training!!! Taking care of the property and winterizing the buildings. We are clearing all the water lines as we won’t have horses at the Ranch this winter. We are excited and working hard to get things in place for spring 2021

Progress at the Ranch. The electrical has been ongoing with some issues but it’s getting sorted out. New lines being installed from the house to barns & club house. The minis really enjoyed their time at the Ranch and are now back at Royale Equestrian Centre

Royale’s Cinch Me Up! AQHA colt. Just needs a barn name now. Still undecided. He arrives with the two fillies Kahlua and Bailey in the fall once they are weaned.
