This is a tick that was fully engorged on a dog and fell off. It was put in a ziplock bag and we waited to see what happened to show you all. It’s been in the b...ag for 2 weeks with no air flow and started to lay eggs about 5 days ago, continuing to do so even still today. Imagine not knowing this was on your animal and it fell off in your house. You’d have 1000’s of baby ticks. GROSS! I can open but with tight restrictions! one on one grooming ONLY which means I'll be working solo so only be able to do about 5-6 grooms a day and only dogs under 50lbs. Clients will be contacted in order of previously booked appointments and NEED for grooming. Appointments cancelled due to lockdown will be priority before new Appointments can be made. Grooming is important for all pets but a dog with hair that grows and gets matted will be priority until we can go back to a more regular schedule with assistance. Super disappointing to hear Welland officials don't think pets health and welfare is important grooming is more than "just a haircut". Feel free to email the following and state your case. If other cities (niagara falls, Burlington, Mississauga, Norfolk county) allow it there's no reason welland can't either, our pets are priority! There's is very minimal risk with curbside grooming service. Sad to see that the Ontario Veterinary Medical Association does not take pet grooming seriously enough to stand by us and our fur clients during these trying times. I know not all vets agree but unfortunately this is the organization that speaks for all of them. Covid-19 update We're being shut down again I'll be calling everyone with appointments over the next month to cancel and be put on the call back list once we know we'll be up and running again.
