Thank you all for your kind words during this difficult time of loss. I have read all your notes and messages and appreciated every word. I have an amazing support group of friends and my family who have surrounded us with positive energy and strength to get us through this loss. My grandmother meant the world to me and I honestly felt like she would be here forever and in many ways she will be through our memories and her everlasting energy . It’s times like this that re...minds me vanity is not important, selfcare is. Designer bags, clothes , cars , houses, furniture are not important but creating memories and spending time together . This is my Grandma, a beautiful , simple woman that loved her family, Sunday dinners, Hallmark movies, her cat Maggie, books, time in the country, her yummy desserts, her car rides home listening to the greats like Elvis, Frank Sinatra but one song that moved her the most was smoke gets in your eyes by the Platters ( I will have a hard time hearing that one now ). I think my obsession for cake and all sweets came from her because I grew up with her red bakery boxes from Ea...tons (where she worked )that she would bring to every dinner and event filled with beautiful petit fours. She lived a very good 92 years on her own always but My Mom and aunt Karen looked after her beautifully keeping her independent but cared for. I will miss her so much and the one thing good about Covid and this red zone we are in is that I have the time now to grieve my grandma without the distraction of work to heal before I have to go back to reality. I put on the tightest pants I own . Just to keep myself accountable. It’s a struggle. These times right now are uncertain so I’m jumping on here right now to spread some positivity because I learned if you think positive, positive things happen and my crying for days on end and living in fear isn’t working for me . Here’s what’s good . The amount of messages I have received from my darling clients reaching out to ask how they can help, what they can buy and how I am doin...g warms my heart that words can’t describe . What else is positive? This thing that’s happening to ALL of us is forcing us to make changes, grow patience, be helpful, be supportive, be innovative, adjust, adapt, think, and evolve. What was yesterday will never be again so look ahead second by second , minute by minute and hour by hour and let’s lend a hand where needed, make a phone call to someone who’s alone and smile even under a mask because your eyes light up for someone in need. We will get through this and all the negativity that’s being spread is feeding the negativity, let’s fight it with positivity and being kind and patient above all. It is with a heavy heart and a loving heart that I am choosing to pause my services for a two week period and possibly longer if necessary to do my part in helping ease the stress to our medical system and my own peace of mind .
