Did you know that EI is available to self employed Canadians who have registered for EI Special Benefits? Including parental leave? I did not know this program existed, so I thought I would share. While it may be too late for many during THIS crisis, it’s never too early to prepare for the next one. https://www.canada.ca//be/ei/ei-self-employed-workers.html

Hey Moncton Realtors! How can I help you during this period of social distancing? While I will not be offering regular photography services I can still help you create beautiful listings. I am available to take the exterior shots of any of your listings for a fee of $50. This includes sky replacements to really make your listing pop!... The exterior photo is the generally the picture that entices potential buyers to make their first click and view the property, so let’s make sure those images are strong, crisp and clear! When you or your client are taking the interior photos you can send them over to me for editing. I can brighten the images, straighten out the lines, and edit out most distracting things like cables and reflections in mirrors for anywhere between $50-$100. Estimates are free! If you are taking your own photos please remember: - use the best possible camera you own -open all the curtains and blinds - let in all the natural light! - put that toilet seat down! - make sure your vertical lines (walls) and horizontal lines (ceilings and countertops) are as straight as possible - use a tripod if you have one - shoot from corner to corner or end to end of a room - take multiple shots of each angle - shoot from a height of about 5 ft - keep it in landscape mode - if using a cell phone, turn on the HDR function. You might love it. Please feel free to send me any questions or concerns you have about taking effective photos and I will be happy to offer you some complimentary guidance!

STOP MAKING THIS HUGE REAL ESTATE MARKETING MISTAKE! The spring market is HOT and houses are selling at a record pace - sometimes within days or weeks! You might think this means that you need to churn out your listings and get them to market as fast as possible - maybe skip a few steps, maybe snap the photos on your cell phone and get them uploaded as quickly as possible. What’s the point in investing in professional photography? The houses are moving anyways!... STOP RIGHT THERE! A hot market = a fast market. This means that if you want to maximize profit you need to get AS MANY POTENTIAL BUYERS as possible to look at your listing in the SHORTEST POSSIBLE time. You may only have a week to get yourself into a multi-offer situation and maximize the profit on your listing. You may be missing an opportunity to sell your listing for MORE than the asking price! The only way to achieve this is by quality photography - sharp, crisp, bright images that showcase the property to its full potential. Most buyers choose which properties to view based off their online searches, and the images are what catch their attention. Sure, in this market, cheap amateur photos will still probably still draw a few potential buyers, but stunning, high quality photos will draw multitudes. Now is the time to invest in real estate photography, from your $100K listings to your $300K+ listings - let’s get you into a multi-bidder situation. Call, email or book online! RachelPletz.com

Today I finished up editing a branding Photoshoot for Brad Dipaolo, entrepreneur over at SMD Talent, downtown Moncton. Having a cache of photos to use for your website and content marketing is essential when building your visual brand online. It’s a great investment that can be used over and over again to market yourself and your company. If this sounds like an investment you are ready to make let’s talk!
