To e or Not To e. Use the game board to determine whether you will read a word with the short vowel sound, or add an e to the end to make a long vowel sound. I was not able to assess Payton and Prabhneet before the end of Oct but they achieved their October goal so I had to give them a special shout out. Payton was able to improve reading accuracy and fluency. And Prabhneet was able to memorize her times tables. Happy Thanksgiving to all my Canadian peeps. Let this day be a reminder that we need to be thankful every day. I spent yesterday writing down all of the things that I have been blessed with. I filled up two sheets of paper front and back, single spaced (most of it was for the last year or so). Over the past couple of years there have been times where I have felt hopeless, waiting and hoping for something that feels like it may never happen. However, by hoping and praying fo...r something I dont have, I have missed out on so many of the blessings that I have been given each day. I have decided to make it a point to take time each day to write down everything that I have been blessed with that day. Remember your blessings!!! So my daughter came home yesterday with her report card and I was very nervous. It has been a long and bumpy road for my 10 year old for the past two years, alw...ays trying her best but not achieving the rewards. Michelle and I reached to Rachel from R&R Tutoring for help. Through Rachel's help and Trinity 's desire to be the best she can be, I read her report card and immediately tears of joy came to my eyes. She had a total of nine A's and nine B's. Mind you the B's were mostly B+'s. I have always been proud of her but now I'm over the moon. Through Rachel's guidance and understanding Trinity has blown me out of the water. Her desire to work hard no matter what odds she faced she is truly a champion. Michelle and I are very grateful to have Rachel in our lives because without her this would not be possible. Congratulations my beautiful baby girl. Every time I think I cannot be more proud of you, you've always proved me wrong and made me even more proud of you. Sky is the limit my princess. Sometimes kids get intimidated by seeing a big word on a page but when they stop to break it into smaller pieces and then put the pieces together, they are able to read it and are very happy with themselves.
