Introducing Molly!! This beautiful black and white 14 year old kitty, has suddenly and unexpectedly come up for adoption. She is looking for a quiet home as she is used to being the center of attention. She is very sweet and loves to cuddle up in your lap. Molly was just in the other day for a check-up and is in very good health for her age. If you are interested in adopting Molly please email [email protected].
Another two Parvo patients this week :(
CONGRATS to Chevy on his last day of chemotherapy today!!
PARVOVIRUS ALERT. We are seeing a significant surge in Parvovirus cases across our practice area. Puppies and unvaccinated dogs are of course at the highest risk. At this time we would recommend that Breeders should bring forward first vaccines to at least 2 weeks before they allow prospective buyers to view puppies even if that means starting vaccination at 4 weeks of age. Although we know that these early vaccines will not produce long term immunity they have been shown ...to provide short term protection. New puppy owners should ensure that vaccines are given in a timely manner, and they should not 'wait' for vaccinations. Keep on top of deworming too. Puppies with significant worm burdens do much less well with Parvovirus than puppies with low worm burdens. Lastly, if your pup has not yet had its full course of vaccines stay out of public areas until they have. This is not a trivial disease. Even with the best and most aggressive treatment some patients will still die. Please do not under estimate the risk
