The gesture of her hands, the quiet reverence in her expression, the butterflies of anticipation and excitement she was feeling...these are the moments I live to capture before the pace of the wedding day changes. These photos can be so much more than a tick-list of being buttoned into your wedding attire followed by a staged photo of a toast with your bridesmaids. Those photos can be beautiful too, but for me, capturing the "getting ready" portion of the wedding is really ab...out being there to document how you were feeling at the beginning of the day. It is after all, the first chapter of the story of your wedding. These images set the scene so beautifully for the rest of the day's events, and will bring you right back to experience how you felt during those first quiet moments each time you look. I want all of my couples to have that, to think about their future-selves and what it will mean to them years later, and to gift themselves the time for moments like these to unfold naturally.
