A few years ago, Ruth Gatzke and I started growing enough drying beans to share with our members. It takes quite a bean field to ensure everyone ends up with roughly 1 lb (once shelled) of amazing legumes. We sometimes get photos back, and I can’t tell you how much we enjoy seeing these. We don’t get into partisan politics on this business page, but I think those who know and support us recognize our political leanings. When I started growing my hair a few years ago, my mom was appalled. I told her I was growing it in protest to the election that had just installed the unstable menace south of the border. (In fact, I sold my motorcycle for the same reason, I just couldn’t see visiting there with the current climate). It was a toss off, half joking comment. But mom just reminded me! Can’t defy my mom. (Not anymore, anyway). So on the occasion of the declared results today, I’m gonna get a haircut!
