We are pleased to share with you the story of our 2nd winner with the most donations, Ms. Lamby McGuire! "My reason for running! I’ve been involved with the Run For The Cure for about 10 years. In 2017 I was diagnosed with Metastatic Breast Cancer and formed my team Lamby’s Army to try and bring more awareness to advanced breast cancer. I’m trying to maintain a positive attitude and outlook which I think is a huge part of me doing as well as I have so far. My daughter is my other reason for fighting so hard, she still needs her mom even though she is 20. "

We are pleased to share with you the story of our 3rd highest donation winner, Mrs. Tracy Dempsey! "My reason for running .... This was the year I became a statistic. In March I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer and my world turned upside down. The early days of diagnosis were scary but as I learned more about treatments and options my path became bearable. Although it was not an easy road to travel, it helped that the path was paved with many amazing women before me whose sacrifices allowed us to find new treatments, new outlooks, additional options. Because of these women, I plan to have many years ahead of me. I did this walk in honor of all of them.... and in hopes of helping those who have to walk this road after me."
