Let us tell you... Weve been BUSY! This past week weve taken in over 40 cats! Currently all our beautiful cats are on a two week health hold while they all receive the best medical care. ... Sadly the photos posted arent even ALL of them. Some of these cats were on a euthanize list and likely would be sleeping right now if we didnt step up. Thankful for each and every foster that signed up to help out these cats in need! We needed you! Where do we even begin. Simba was the cat of 12 that were rescued from 1 home. When you have 12 cats I can imagine its a little harder to keep up with whats going on and where. ... Simba was placed into a foster home when he arrived in our care and it started a little something like this.... Foster Day 1: We are now the temporary home of one handsome orange tabby named Simba! Simba is an absolute sweetheart, and warms up to people incredibly fast. He is great with other animals too! He is skittish about Zelda, but I dont blame him! If youre interested in this sweet little man, message Running Wild Rescue for an adoption application! Foster Day 2: Simba has come around to Zelda, and he is a total love bug anybody would be lucky to have this sweetheart! If youre looking for someone to cuddle on the couch with you during a movie or a nap, Simba is exactly what you need Foster Day 3: Simba now cuddles with Zelda (too scared to ruin it by reaching for my phone). Simba tries to cuddle Freya, but Freya gets scared of him despite Simba not having a vicious bone in his entire body Simba also enjoys singing the song of his people at the vets office, and adores the veterinarians "baby voice" as well Day 3 it stops. We are paused now do too... Heartbroken to find out that Simba needs surgery, due to stones that have him blocked up. He will stay at the vet for three days (that I know of for sure), and hopefully once hes feeling better, we will help him find his forever home. This is where we ask for help. Remember Benny? Well now hes a name we will never forget! This handsome boy came in and could barely even walk. ... You betcha broken pelvis. Surgery went well. Just kidding! it was retorn. Surgery went well again Things looked up and Benny was mobile again, didnt stop there.. his leg that got the surgery still had a bit of a dragging issue that the vets got him a type of walking tool to go on his foot to help make it so it didnt keep dragging around to the point his foot was raw. Along Bennys journey we had a lot of support but one person really stuck out for Benny and thats his new dad! The very first day Benny was posted we had a very generous donation amount donated just to Bennys cause. Throughout the surgeries and vet stops the vet bills added up and they added up quickly. While we struggled to make ends meet Bennys new dad had never fully even met Benny but new he needed to help. He basically paid for 3/4 of Bennys medical expenses and we managed to raise the rest!! After months of waiting to figure out when Benny could make his way to BC to his new dad he was finally able to go last weekend. We struggled to find the perfect ride for Benny that was heading that direction and understood he hated the kennel. His dad ended up driving all the way down from BC to SK to pick up Benny himself because the waiting game was getting exhausting, it was time he met his match made in heaven! Through chatting with Bennys dads friends we were told he had been looking for a dog for quite sometime and when he laid eyes on Benny he knew had to not only help him but also provide that forever for him! LAST FEW HOURS! FORMERLY ADOPTED LUCY & SONIC These two beautiful girls came right through our doors and right back out! ... While Lucy(left) had litter after litter after litter. Enough was enough and she was saved! Sonic (right) came in from up north from out in the cold being a porch dog, not knowing what it was like to have a family allow her to do dog like things! Lucy & Sonic really did get the BEST OF THE BEST!
