Happy Friyay! We made it to the weekend and the weather in Toronto is beautiful today! I highly recommend grabbing your favourite alcohol-theme socks (non-alcoholic work well too) and head out for a run! If you do, please run solo!
Rise and grind! Then post proof of said grinding 4 hours later because life, yo!
Season Two Coming Soon!
Some runs just feel magical. 16.7 lovely kilometres around Midtown Toronto and I enjoyed every single step. I know it’s cold outside, but nothing beats fresh air and sunshine on blast. . Hope everyone is having a great weekend!
To close out Season One of The Longest Stride Podcast, we invited one of the pillars of the Toronto Running Community to chat about the last ten years of Parkdale Roadrunners! #runningcommunity #running #podcast
It may feel like we’re still running towards the unknown with no sign Spring races will occur and even Fall races in question, but that doesn’t mean you can’t continue to train and put in the hard work. . You’ll ever regret that speed work or long run you did when you didn’t think it counted. Promise.
Wishing you all Happy Holidays! May your days be long and your pants be short!
Finished my last run of the year with some horse play in the form of a Mona Fartlek. So hard, but so worth it! . 2020 may have been a gong show of a year with no races and a missed opportunity to become a six star finisher, but there were so many takeaways that made this year really special. . 1. After being downsized from my job last November, I started an amazing new job in March with an incredible company! ... . 2. I got to work with my favorite brands again; @sauconycanada, @garminfitness, and @aftershokzcan. . 3. I learned some new renovating skills and finished some work in our basement thanks to my buddy @matthewgaleazza. . 4. I started a freakin podcast with my good friend @dreizle. . 5. My friend @rundigsleep and I grew @runnersofthesix by recruiting several amazing humans. . 6. We renovated our backyard and added a hot tub and wicked grill. . 7. I met so many amazing new friends. . 8. My coach @devon.liversidge and my crew @unleashedrunning kept me motivated even without there being any races. . 9. I became an ultramarathoner. . 10. Finally and most importantly; my family in Toronto and Brooklyn are healthy. . I hope you’re also able to find some things to be grateful for this year and wish you all a healthy and prosperous new year! Thanks for interacting with me this year! See more
I figured you’re all probably over the photo of me sitting in a hot tub holding a box, so here’s a rare photo of me running in tights. Happy Friday! . Just in case you have no idea what I’m talking about, today is the last day to enter my @garminfitness giveaway! Head back one post to enter. Good luck everyone!
On days like today when the roads are filthy and the skies are grey, I like to add a dash of colour to brighten up the day! I’m a poet and I didn’t even know it! Fine, I’ll stop.
Awesome chat with an incredible runner!
