Well there wasn't any shows we could attend this year but the ones I kept are maturing nicely for future breeders...a sneak peek posing properly was NOT a strong suit tonight.

***All Found new coops*** 6 pretty little pullets(3 black and 3 mottled carriers) looking for a new coop of their own. Might be able to find a handsome boyfriend in the cockerel pen if needed...
Had a fabulous day at the Fenelon fur and feather fall sale. So happy to have the chance to speak to new people about the hobby, find homes for almost all the extras and to come home with only 4 new beaks to feed. Lovely blue americauna pullets(for my egg pen and 2 splash bantam cochin for my program(Thankyou Rachael and Jennifer) I didnt walk the vendors until the end as everyone was keeping me busy but was well organized. CHEERS to all in attendance!
Looks to be potentially 9 pairs of bantam cochin(young 2020 stock)plus a few extra chicks and 4 Hens(2019)used in my program will be available at the sale next Sunday...
The brushing is endless...so glad we are not under pressure for show season!
LOOKING FOR VARIETY?? I WILL BE ATTENDING THIS SALEwith the last chance to get some of my stock for 2020
Siblings these little amigos from Blu and Tinker are coming along nicely...
Some final decisions on the keepers for winter...there will be a remaining stock dispersal of pairs of cochin and excellent quaity white silkies. Also young growouts from late hatches. Just getting my numbers and planned pens organized. Pricing will reflect quality of pairs.
The littles enjoying their outside time today with the larger growouts. Very excited to see this group of my mottled project cochins develop
**SOLD**Orders have been filled and picked up and we have a few( 3 ) more BLACK PAIRS available. They come from top quality birds that are natural breeders. Still young and alot of maturing to do...great for starter foundation birds or new blood. Not show quality but great potential to produce them. Also 1 mottled project cockerel that can be paired with a black pullet. 60.00 per pair or 2 pairs for 100.00. First come first serve and pick your own birds...no holds. Pickups this Saturday and Sunday until gone. Let me know
Crickets, grasshopper, ticks and beetles beware!!! The beasts are loose, working hard, self fertilizing organic pest control at its finest Rural Roots Gardens underpaid but loved workers...
***All now have new Homes***3 for adoption. Too small and fine boned for our program. Pet breeding program perhaps? 30.00 each
Just a little glimpse of a few of my favorites, the mottled project chicks.
