Rural Routes to Climate Solutions 19.11.2020

Last October, we were really fortunate to be able to tell the story of community alternative energy in Alberta with some great organizations. Here's the story: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YftcmtrmqQs What are community renewable energy projects? For Rural Routes to Climate Solutions, they are solar, wind, hydro or geothermal projects that generate benefits for the communities they are located in (and electricity too!). Those benefits can be revenue, job creation or loweri...ng the costs of operating the local hockey rink. Whatever the project benefits may be, the important part is that they help build and maintain strong, thriving and resilient rural communities in Alberta. We are grateful to Community Futures Lac La Biche Municipal Climate Change Action Centre and Alberta Community and Co-operative Association for co-hosting and presenting.
