Russell’s Land Design Feel free to share This homeowner wanted a planting bed next to the house but the height of the concrete sill plate was too low. We creat...ed a planter off the house and placed wash stone along the house to insure proper drainage. I have seen many jobs where the contractor put the brick bed up against the siding this is WRONG as the sill plate of the house and should always above the ground to protect the house from surface water. Always consult with a professional certified Landscape Horticulturalist who specializes in hardscape construction before you next project. I have seen cheap Jobs done by unqualified people that have cost hundreds down the road.
