Thank you our Yablochko boys for putting smiles our girls' faces in honour of International Women's day! All our girls got a little chocolate surprise and donuts to energize them for rehearsal and lots of russian dancing.

We finally have a Gusli player! Welcome, Sofia Antoniou! You are a natural! Just in time to learn everything for our April 26th concert.

Unfortunately on tuesday there was 20cm of snow, and so practice had to be cancelled, but everyone came on saturday to make up for the lost time! On saturday we... usually have self led classes but thanks to Natasha Lozovsky, we got have a full practice and we learned alot of new choreography! For our premiere on April 26th we are preparing 3 NEW dances. A fragment of which can be seen below. This dance was actually inspired by the topotuha dance performed by berezka:https://youtu.be/GpLT1taXvFQ BIG thanks to Natasha for coming and doing practice during her only few hours off time, and big thanks to everyone who came and danced.

Join us for an afternoon of spectacular Russian traditional enertainment featuring RCC Balalaika Orchestra, RCC Yablochko Dancers, RCC Pushkin School Choir and Dancers, as well as special guests Elena Razlog - operatic soprano and Slava Alexandrov - virtuoso balalaika. Over 50 performers! Sunday, April 26th at 3 pm. Russian traditional food will be sold during intermission! Early bird tickets are $12.00. They are $15.00 at the door. The RCC Saturday Language School is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year! Today was the first of many events we will be having over the course of the next 12 months. Today we celebrated with a 50th anniversary honey cake generously made and donated by Natasha Shalagina. Our 90 school children learned about how the school was formed in 1970 and how school graduates are still actively involved in the RCC to this day. Stay tuned for more events!
