The Office of the Superintendent of Bankruptcy Canada (OSB) has provided Licensed Insolvency Trustees (LITs) considerable flexibili...ties and support as our entire nation works through this pandemic. Our office remains open for business at this time however, we will temporarily convert to a digital and remote environment for the coming weeks. We continue to serve you uninterrupted and we remain committed to helping our clients and supporting you through this process and maintaining the integrity of Canada’s insolvency system. Please note the following: 1. Insolvency Counselling Counselling sessions will remain as scheduled however, to support social distancing the sessions will be provided via teleconference or videoconference. Our administrators will make every effort o send reminders to you of your upcoming counselling sessions and provide meeting details (i.e. call in number for meeting). 2. Meetings of Creditors - Meeting of Creditors (if applicable) will proceed as scheduled. Our office will contact you and provide details. The Chair of a meeting of creditors will make every reasonable effort to hold creditors meetings by electronic or digital means of communication. The chair of the meeting may rely on representations by attendees to confirm their identification. 3. Budget sheets or other documents required to be submitted to our office - Please continue to submit your budget sheets as required. Until further notice, we ask that you email or fax your budget sheets and supporting documents. If neither of these options are available to you, please mail your budget sheets. Should you use the mail kindly consider the postal service and timing and ensure you are mailing your documents so that they arrive to our office by the date they required to be submitted.
