I really enjoyed using the bright blues when creating this ocean-inspired resin tray. It is headed all the way to the coast of BC After I created this piece I showed it off to Mike saying it's much brighter than my normal ocean pieces. To which he responded with, "it's a different part of the ocean." So simple yet completely accurate, and reminds me of the quote : "Remember how vast the ocean's boundaries are. Whilst somewhere the water is calm, in another place in the very same ocean, there is a colossal storm."

What better way than to promote my new items than in person at Eising Greenhouses & Garden Centre Christmas craft show!! Another reclaimed resin tray complete! This customer was looking for a classic remote tray for their coffee table. Of course, I couldn't resist staging it first! In the last photos you will see this tray in comparison to my typical resin tray size. This new size is approx 10" x 14" and is $55. It is entirely handmade in a beautiful herringbone design. Finished with a crystal clear layer of resin allowing for a perfectly smooth surface. Friendly reminder that custom orders close for Christmas November 1st!

Upload attempt #2 hopefully better quality These coasters are not for sale but I couldn't resist sharing how awesome they turned out!! The base is handmade with reclaimed tobacco slats sealed together with a layer of glue. Next comes authentic beach sand. Then comes the first layer of coloured resin, and then the second layer for more waves. Each coaster is finished with a cork base.... Don't worry! - I will be making more in a circular formation in time for Christmas!! Stay tuned

These trays are hand made with tobacco slats, displayed in a herringbone design. Both of the trays have sand and pebbles from Lake Huron throughout . They are finished with a thick layer of resin that completely encases the pebbles in the walkway themed piece, and covers half of the pebbles in the beach themed piece Approx 7x13" and $60 each for those interested

It's finally here and I'm so excited! When I started creating wood art Mike suggested I get a branding tool to stamp all of my unique pieces. Initially I was looking at a iron branding stamp but that idea didn't pan out, so I settled for the ink style. Moving forward, all of my wood and resin art will have my authentic Rustic Hobbies stamp on the back with the year it was created!
