Got started late but was able to do a little. The door is about 70-80 years old. The red barnwood is almost that old. This will be the general store facade.

Update on the old town facade. Nicer weather lately has allowed me to do more on this. The first of one building wall is complete. Will be starting the next one today. (Different wood/colour) Later in time, I still need to do a little framing above the roof so more of the same wall boards will be seen there with each buildings name/title. I will post more pics of today’s work tonight or tomorrow.... Any thoughts?

Another project started. I started digging and levelling about 2 weeks ago. It will have a roof covering and a old town facade for a wall. Work today is halted due to this winter storm about to hit. Ugh.

Fall is here. Snow on some mountains.

I open the door to my shop this morning and immediately heard a noise. (have not been in the shop since yesterday afternoon) I turned on the lights so I can see where the noise is coming from. It’s the blue palm sander. It is running! Just sitting there on the bench vibrating. I had to push the button to turn it off.... Now I had used it yesterday at the beginning of my work. Turn it off and worked for another 3 hours before locking all the doors and calling it a day. As I turned the sander off that chill ran through my body. Ever had those chills? The last photo was just in case......... Have you ever had a weird experience like that? @ Longview, Alberta

Timber Bed Complete My first ever made bed is complete. The posts are rough size timbers, 6 x 6. The cross pieces are rough 4 x 4’s. ... The darker boards sandwiching the spindles are really old reclaimed fir. I think it adds a vintage touch. The first I will keep but I will be in the timber bed making business this winter. There will be this style and another like it but with flat boards running on top of the posts.
