No Frills 26.01.2021

Good afternoon everyone and happy Saturday. We here at Rusty's nofrills just want to send a quick reminder to our customers, now that the colder weather is rolling in, it's time to start dressing more appropriately just in case you have to stand outside while you wait to get inside. We try our very best to get everyone in and out as fast as possible but sometimes we need to limit the amount of people inside which causes us to close our doors temporarily. This precaution isn't just for Rusty's nofrills, no matter where you go this winter, always prepare to wait outside. Better to be safe then sorry. Stay safe and stay healthy.

Thank you to all our wonderful staff and customers who made this donation possible. I'm amazed at the amount of people willing to help those in need during this difficult time we're currently facing. I would also like to thank the Brant County SPCA for all you do for our furry little friends. It is our pleasure to help. Stay safe and stay healthy, everyone.

On behalf of Rusty's nofrills, we would like to thank our friends from Harvey's who stopped by the store today in the "Harvey's RV" and treated my staff to some free hamburgers. They've been going around the city thanking essential workers and what a great way to reward my hard-working staff. We appreciate the gesture and we appreciate what you're doing to acknowledge the essential workers throughout the city. Stay healthy and stay safe everyone. #harveys #HarveysRV

Good Monday afternoon folks. This is just a friendly reminder to all those who shop at Rusty's nofrills. We ask you to please respect the mandatory face mask by-law which applies to the city of Brantford requiring all customers to wear a face mask in all indoor public spaces. We also ask you to please continue to respect the directional arrows in our aisles in order to keep the flow of traffic in a one way direction. This helps everyone maintain their social distancing to keep their grocery shopping experience as quick and safe as possible. If an employee is asking you to follow the arrows when you are not, they are simply doing their job. Please do not talk rudely to them. Thank you. Stay safe and stay healthy.

Good afternoon everyone. We hope everyone is staying safe and staying healthy. We just wanted to let you know that on Monday, August 3rd, 2020 our store hours have been adjusted to 9:30am until 5:00pm due to the Civic Holiday. We hope you all have a fantastic long weekend.

Good afternoon everyone. On Tuesday, July 14th 2020, the city of Brantford made it mandatory for a face covering to be worn in all enclosed public spaces in the city effective Friday, July 17th 2020. As it is mandated by the city of Brantford, Rusty's nofrills will be enforcing this new bylaw and will be requiring all customers wishing to enter the store to be wearing a required face covering unless you have a medical condition prohibiting you to do so. Although everyone may not like this decision, we have no choice but to follow it. I appreciate everyone's co-operation with this and i look forward to the days when we can remove our masks and end our social distancing. Stay safe and stay healthy.

Good Wednesday, June 24th everyone. We hope you are all staying safe and healthy. Rusty's nofrills has a few updates regarding your shopping experience with us. #1 - The City of Brantford and it's residents are doing a phenomenal job stopping the spread of the Corona Virus. As of last night, Brantford only had 7 live cases of the virus so everyone in this city is doing amazing. Keep it up. Here at the store every week, we are seeing fewer and fewer senior citizens taking adva...ntage of our 2 hours dedicated to seniors and those who need extra help. Ever since we went to the 8am-9pm operating hours everyday it would appear that people in our neighborhood are content with those hours. So as of Saturday, July 4th 2020, we will be no longer be opening early on Wednesdays and Fridays. We would ask seniors and those who need assistance to please visit us any day between 8am and 9am and we'd be happy to assist you in whichever way we can. We appreciate everyone's co-operation over the past couple months in regards to our Seniors store hours but only a handful of people are showing up now so this only makes sense to blend it in with our regular store hours. #2 - Probably the biggest debate/argument all over the country right now is about people wearing masks in public. No level of government has made it mandatory to wear masks while working in Brantford so masks are not required for my employees. Every single one of my employees has a choice to wear a mask or not. At the store, we are offering our staff masks and gloves to use if they choose to. Most of the staff currently choose not to wear them. So if you come shopping in my store you will definitely be around staff members not wearing masks. We apologize if this bothers you. Please do not yell at or demean any of my staff for not wearing masks. It's their choice and i support their right to choose. #3 - We are cleaning and sanitizing as often as we possibly can. Just because you don't physically see it happening, doesn't mean it isn't happening at all. Perhaps our employee cleaning the buggies needed a bathroom break or perhaps our employee cleaning the baskets is washing their hands. It doesn't mean it isn't getting done. #4 - Please follow all directional arrows on the floor in order to control the flow of traffic. If you see an arrow on the floor and you are going the wrong way, please turn around. #5 - Please be nice, please be kind, please be patient, please be polite, please be happy, please be pleasant, please be compassionate and please be healthy. Keep up the great work Brantford. We are all doing a phenomenal job stopping the spread of the coronavirus.

Happy Thursday May 28th everyone. I hope you are all staying safe and healthy. We wanted to give you all an important update regarding some brand new things going on within the store: #1 - Effective Sunday, May 30th, 2020 our store operational hours will be changing to 8am-9pm 7 days a week. This is a company wide initiative. We will still be offering our designated Seniors shopping hours from 7am-8am on Wednesdays and Fridays. #2 - In order to get our customers in and out as... safely and as fast as possible, the company is introducing an "All Lanes Open" policy from 11am-6pm from Thursday to Sunday. We have been working closely with the health department who believe that with our current precautions, this initiative is safe for all customers. Along with those two new exciting items, here is a quick reminder of some ongoing COVID-19 updates: * We still do have crowd control. Just because there is no one outside, does not mean we are not keeping track. Some people get angry when other customers come close to them. It is up to you to ensure you're keeping your distance from other people. If someone is invading your space, kindly tell them that. Social distancing is key. * Down the grocery aisles, we have green directional arrows taped on the floor showing the flow of traffic. Please follow these arrows. If you mistakenly enter an aisle with opposite arrows then please turn around. * Our buggies are cleaned and sanitized regularly. Just because you do not see them being cleaned, doesn't mean they aren't being cleaned. However, if you'd like to be sure that your cart is clean, for the past 8 weeks we have provided cleaner, wipes and hand sanitizer right at the front entrance so you can ensure your hands and buggy are clean to your liking. * Please remember to keep your group to either one or two people at a time. If there is more than 1 adult, please have someone stay in the car or stay at home. * Our employees have the choice to wear gloves and masks while they are working. It hasn't been made mandatory by the government so neither have we. Chances are you will be dealing with an employee who is without a mask and/or gloves. If that makes you uncomfortable, please avoid those people but please do not act or say anything inappropriate. Both pieces of PPE are supplied by the store but it is still their choice. * The people of Brantford are doing a phenomenal job in limiting the spread of COVID-19, let's all do our part to keep up the good work. Stay Safe and Stay Healthy. Rusty's nofrills

Good afternoon folks. We here at Rusty's nofrills just wanted to remind everyone that we will be closed on Monday, May 18th, 2020 for Victoria Day. Good Wednesday morning. I hope everyone is staying safe and staying healthy. Here you will see our Easter hours for the upcoming Easter weekend. Please keep a few things in mind this Easter season; 1. A NORMAL Easter weekend is typically one of the busiest weekends of the year. With the CoronaVirus this year, Easter weekend is anything but normal so no one in the grocery business has any idea what to expect. So if it's busy, then please be prepared for long lines OUTDOORS and... long wait times...not just at my store but probably everywhere. We still need to enforce social distancing and will do that no matter what. If you want to avoid the potential craziness, please come shopping Monday or Tuesday and avoid the weekend. 2. Easter is a holiday based around family. However, please do not bring your family shopping. I cannot stress this enough. I am still seeing families come in whether it be a wife and two teenage kids or husband, wife and 2 kids. Come on folks. If everyone for some reason needs to leave the house, then keep them in the car while 1 person does the grocery shopping. It is very frustrating when people are not listening. 3. There are quite a few people that still get offended when you ask them to keep their distance. If you are the type of person that gets offended when people ask you to practice Social Distancing then please stay home. No one wants to deal with that. So lets avoid the awkwardness and please avoid public places. 4. There are also still quite a few people that insist on insulting my employees whether its because i am out of a certain product or because i have put limits into place at my store. I put limits on these items to be fair to everyone. My staff are doing their jobs enforcing these limits. If you don't like limits, stay home. They are simply doing their jobs and are doing amazing at it in the process. 5. Everyone is going stir crazy....EVERYONE. Please keep that in mind when leaving your house. If everyone is patient, compassionate and understanding, we will get through this and come out better on the other side. Stay safe . Stay healthy.

Good Friday evening everyone. I hope you are all safe and healthy. I just wanted to give everyone a quick update on what's been going on at the store over the past few days. 1. The store has not been insanely busy over the past week so it appears the public is listening and are only coming in when it's necessary. I commend everyone in the community for doing their part to stay away. 2. In the store we are practicing #SocialDistancing with everyone expected to stay 6 feet (or ...2 metres) away from everyone else. The majority of you are doing a phenomenal job. There are a few that still get annoyed when they are asked to keep your distance. I don't understand why but please respect everyone's space. 3. Today at one point, there was a rush of people which in turn, flooded our cash registers with customers causing me to briefly close the front doors. I had to gradually let in around 60 people waiting outside and every single one understood what i was doing and why i was doing it. So thank you for that. 4. As stated before, we have limits on everything in the store. A more specified list is located on our flyer stand on the left side as soon as you enter the store. Please take a look and respect our limits. These are put in place to be fair to everyone. 5. According to the Health Minister of Canada last night, the next 4 or 5 days are going to be very important to see where the Coronavirus is headed in this province. So lets take this opportunity to self isolate, practice social distancing and only leave the house when absolutely necessary. Together we can stop this thing from spreading even further. 6. Last but not least, thank your doctors, nurses and first responders. They are on the front line trying to beat this thing. They need our support. Stay safe and stay healthy, everyone. Good Monday morning everyone. We here at Rusty's nofrills would like to share some information with you regarding the current situation facing the market right now. First of all, I want to send out a sincere thank you to the employees at Rusty's nofrills. They are putting their health and safety at risk everyday they show up in order to try and fill our shelves to supply our community with as many options as possible. I commend my staff and thank all of them from the bottom o...f my heart Second of all, I want to say thank you to the majority of our customers. We truly appreciate those of you that understand the difficulties that the grocery business is facing right now in filling our shelves. And we appreciate those customers who understand how hard we are working. Thank you. So here are a few updates for you: 1. The main concern at Rusty's nofrills right now is SOCIAL DISTANCING. Everyone must stay 6 feet away from eachother. If you must come shopping, keep your distance from everyone. 2. Saturday and Sunday were much quieter days in the store which means the public appears to be listening which is fantastic. Please stay away. If you must come grocery shopping DO NOT BRING YOUR FAMILY. Come alone if you can and only buy what you need. We have limits on everything in order to be fair to everyone. There will be no hoarding and there will be no panic buying here. 4. If it gets too crowded, we will be doing crowd control outside the store and closing our doors. There may be wait times to get in. 5. Effective immediately, WE ARE NO LONGER ACCEPTING REFUNDS OR EXCHANGES. Once it leaves the store, we do not want it back. This is a nofrills policy, not strictly mine. 6. Wednesday and Friday between 7am-8am are designated for senior shoppers and those with a compromised immune system. Please leave this time for them. We are not allowing children in the store at this time. 7. Please be patient. Please be calm. Please be understanding. Please be compassionate. Please be civil. Please be reasonable. Please be nice to one another. Thank you for being great customers and allowing us to serve you as best as we possibly can during this difficult time. Rusty's nofrills
