The practice of manual osteopathy is currently unregulated in BC (it’s something we’re working on!) so it's important you know what type of education your Osteo...pathic Practitioner holds. OBC’s educational standards are in line with countries where osteopathy is a regulated health profession as well as The World Health Organization's benchmarks for training in osteopathy. Why does this matter? It matters because a patient’s safety is our top priority. To find a qualified OBC Practitioner, please go here: https://www.osteopathybc.ca/member-map #osteopathy #osteopathybc #britishcolumbia #manualosteopathy #osteopathicpractitioner

In all things of nature, there is something of the marvelous. The rules of hiking and hiking etiquette have changed. And theres more to it than just physical d...istancing. Heres what we think you need to know: Maintain a distance of at least two metres from anyone who is not a member of your household. When on the trail with your family, allow other users enough space to maintain two metres of physical distance. Keep to the right and walk single file if passing others. On shared trails, mountain bikers and cyclists yield to hikers and pedestrians. When passing on the left, slow down or come to a complete stop, allowing enough time and space for others to re-orient themselves on the trail. If possible, avoid using popular trails and paths during the busiest times of day, or explore a lesser-known area. #StayActiveStayHealthy #EverythingGetsBetter See more

Congrats to Kate! Kate Morton defended her thesis in April and won the William Garner Sutherland award for best quantitative research. We are so proud of her! She now has an official billing number for Osteopathy, has her well-deserved DOMP and will practice as an osteopathic practitioner. It was a long 7 years for her and extra stressful having to defend on Zoom!... WELL DONE, KATE!
