With excitement and caution, we're back to work this spring! We're very lucky to have a job where we can work outside and keep our distance easily. Where that becomes more difficult, we are wearing masks and sanitizing EVERYTHING. I really hope that maples and poplars aren't Covid vectors..... Liam O'Connor looking pretty great in full gear which now includes a mask. Thanks to Crown & Birch for their production, we've made a donation.

"If you can give yourself five minutes a day to hug a tree, that's definitely enough" "I lean my cheek up against the trunk and feel the warmth and the currents flowing from the tree and into me. You can really feel it." https://www.icelandreview.com//forest-service-recommends/ I would add: "Wrap your arms around even a small tree, a sapling, it's like cuddling a baby"... or "Don't hug dead or rotten trees, they harbour fungus, sadness and sometimes beetles" How would you hug a tree?

Spring 2020 is sending arborists mixed messages.... Normally at this time we are anticipating the last of the snow to melt so that we can get at our work with the usual spring fever.

We're very sorry to hear the news today about an accident involving a tree worker with a different company in Thunder Bay. News like this comes as a shock to any arborist as our work, day in and day out, focuses on being safe above all else. We can be quick to forget how easy it is to get hurt on the job, or worse. Our thoughts are with the injured arborist, we hope desperately that he recovers.
