Thanks to the generosity of Sion Jones and Mike Frenette of Spark EV, Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre (RVH) now has four electric car charging stations in the staff parking lots. Spark EV is a Canadian company based out of Barrie dedicated to advancing the electric vehicle movement through the sales and installation of charging stations. As more and more RVH staff and physicians have transitioned to electric cars, these charge stations are a welcome addition. RVH strives to pursue and implement ‘Green Hospital Scorecard’ initiatives wherever possible including measures in energy and water use and recycling.
