Welp, here we go! I'm off on my own I'm excited to say that in the future, I'll be mostly hosting my very own Pilates and Barre classes at different locations throughout the HRM and (always) virtually. My studios over the years have shown me wonderful times, and I will miss so many things about them.... But it was time to re-organize my life and my business so that I can better support YOU while also supporting ME. I have so many dreams about where we will go! Dreams like more Bedford Market classes, community centre drop-in classes, in-home sliding scale semi-privates, postpartum movement for low income communities, and much more! For now, that means it might be a little more challenging to find a class with me. But you can always sign up for some virtual classes until I lock down spaces for drop-in classes. And because I want to be transparent and honest with you, the more of you that can support me virtually at a really low rate, the easier it makes it for me to put on more in-person classes! HIPS N ABS Want to combo hit your abs and your hips? Try this combo move with a loop band above your knees. Stay in imprint (low back on the ground, no pelvic movement)... Exhale with each rep Open toes just as much as knees in the hip abduction move Keep legs hip distance in the single leg stretch Rest and do it again! Steady and controlled is the name of the game in Pilates. Quick movements are awesome, but in Pilates we're trying to break old habits and create new ones. Figure out what your tendencies are and see if you can change things up!
