Such a beautiful day calls for some pictures of a particularly beautiful project. One of our favourite projects this season is now so modern and makes this house stand out on the street - even in all of Bradford! We have no more room for construction jobs this season so if you are looking for a similar update to your yard, you will have to book our team for next year. We are, however, still booking fall yard cleanups and you can email or text [email protected] / 416-828-8270.

So proud of our Bradford Board of Trade nominations from YOU, our loyal customers in Bradford West Gwillimbury. Our founder, Ryan, started this company with a focus on customer service and getting the job done right. Thank you for this vote of confidence in our services and congratulations to all the nominees!

When you dream of landscaping for your own yard it often involves projects that require large machinery, weeks of work, tonnes of stone. The reality is, though, that not all of our projects are large scale. Some involve detailed work with our hands, kneeling on the ground, manual digging. And we think it really ends up being just as satisfying for our crews and our customers. Get in touch. Text 416 828 8270 or [email protected]

Look for our name on #48 with driver Coltin Everingham and #82 with driver Nick Tooley. Both of these friends are racing at Flamboro Speedway on Saturday, July 4th. Race season is here. Cant wait to smell the fumes.

This hot, dry weather is no match for a high tech irrigation system. Our crews are putting in irrigation systems that are fully wifi-compatible. That means you can water your lawn and gardens right from your phone! Ah-mazing! These pics are from a year-round commercial client but we are working with residential clients this season as well.

The future looks bright Well, barring a few possible scattered showers anyway. We hope you are able to enjoy your backyard this weekend - even if it doesn't quite look as nice as this one. We just love these custom railings - this is actually a new service we are offering this season and it's really taking off! Reach out if you would like more info. www.ryanslandscaping.ca

Did you have to mow your own lawn this week? Aw, that's too bad. Our customers saw Nathan and Mike, two members of our grass crew, this week. Our customers spend their weekends enjoying their yards without having to push a mower. We do still have a few spots open for lawn care, text or email us if you would like us to do the work so you can just enjoy this sunshine this season. ... [email protected] or 416 828 8270

Beat the dandelions BEFORE they get to your lawn! That's what a well fertilized lawn with dense grass does, it chokes out weeds so you don't even get them in the first place. Now that the snow is done - we hope - our crews are out getting our customers' lawns fed with a commercial-grade spring fertilizer. We can transform lawns in just one season because we have 27 years of experience working with all kinds of challenges - that's right, even in one municipality, different ...subdivisions require different balances of treatments. Call or text us for a free, no obligation analysis of your grass before those pesky weeds start to emerge. 416 828 8270.

Thanks to everyone who participated in our little game. We have the answers below. It was fun to play but, more than that, we hope it empowered you with some knowledge to draw on before hiring a contractor or landscaper. Before you spend your hard earned money to improve your yard, make sure you are working with a skilled and trustworthy professional. How many mistakes did you see?... Illegal items: 1. Walkway must be 2 feet from the property line, or about 12 inches if there is proper drainage including a weeping tile. 2. Stairs must be installed in accordance to building code. There is a 1.5 inch step which is very much illegal (under 5 inches is illegal), and there is a 10 inch step with is well beyond the 8 inch which is the maximum height allowable. 3. Something you cant see is that there was no permit paid for by the contractor to complete the work they did. 4. The walkway slopes toward the house..... this falls under several categories of illegal. Workmanship items: 1. The "curve" is definitely not a curve. As a professional installer, I carry several different size saws for various tasks... this contractor failed to cut a curve. 2. There is a downspout.... we bury the downspout under the interlocking and bring it out the other side not to drain the water onto the neighbours property. 3. It is okay to leave a couple of extra stones of each size for the customer, but dont leave them on the new walkway. 4. It is unprofessional to leave the aggregate sticking out from under the interlock. And especially onto the neighbours property. Soil and seed or sod is to be used to make it look good!
