We are pleased to announce that Aysia Patterson and family have been selected as the 2019 Ryan's Night Recipient. Raven Hill & Robert Patterson’s daughter Aysia was born on September 5, 2015 with a rare genetic condition called Aicardi syndrome. Aicardi syndrome is a rare genetic malformation syndrome characterized by the partial or complete absence of a key structure in the brain called the corpus callosum, the presence of retinal abnormalities, and seizures. Aysia does ...not have a corpus callosum and has cysts in her brain and optic nerve which impairs her vision. Aysia will never walk or talk and suffers from daily seizures. Even though Aysia is unable to move, a specialized wheelchair will allow her to attend kindergarten in the Fall of 2019. Aysia’s family face daily challenges but cherish each day they have with their precious daughter. See more
