Amid COVID-19, construction of the Coastal GasLink pipeline has continued, but the Wet’suwet’en people have opposed the pipeline for over a year. Cheyenne Bholla put together a timeline of the nationwide solidarity movement that "Shut Down Canada," which brings us from 2012 to May 14, 2020 when the Memorandum of Understanding was officially ratified. The MOU addresses who has governance over the Wet’suwet’en people, but does not address the pipeline.
