The School of Fashion invites you join in a panel series with Professor Kim Jenkins! Repost from @kimberlymjenkins - Dear friends, I’m excited to get back into doing another thing I love: hosting conversations that examine the culture around us and exploring exciting new ways of thinking and doing. ... Thanks to the tireless, fancy footwork of @rachelkinnard , who helps me manage the @fashionandracedatabase , Daniela Hernández, our new Media Editor, and the @catalystfcad team at Ryerson, we’ve put together our very first instalment of The Fashion and Race Database Conversation Series, ‘Retail as a Portal for Systemic Change’! This three-part virtual seriespresented on October 15, October 22 and October 29 is made possible through the generous support of @holtshproject , as we think through the ways that retail can help transform and progress what we produce and what we consume. I’m thrilled to kick off the series with our first guests, the founders behind @goodeeworld and @skwalwenbotanicals ! I hope that you will join us this Thursday, October 15, 4:30pm-6:00pm EDT. You can find the event in my bio under ‘Upcoming Events,’ and all events are free to register and open to the public. The conversations will also be recorded.
