Here's a poem composed during our last virtual drop in. Between all eleven of us, we had enough fidget toys to get through one (1) video conference call. "Do you do haiku Do you fidget with a cube Some rainbow youth do"... --Leah, 09.04.2020 #queerart #happystims #rainbowyouth
Our affirmation from virtual drop in today! "I deserve people in my life who can see my pain, who are willing to witness my stories, and be patient with my growth." Even when we are self-isolated at home, we can still connect and support each other. ... Affirmation from the Planned Parenthood Toronto Affirmation deck!
Check out this free community mental health resource, every Thursday from 2-3pm in April. #PhysicalDistancing and #SocialConnection
Kawartha Sexual Assault Centre is offering online trauma-informed yoga classes. This is a BIPOC and 2SLGBTQIA+ welcoming space. Please register with Lindsay at [email protected]. What is SEEDS Yoga?... SEEDS Yoga is a class that centres healing and incorporates teaching methods from Transcending Sexual Trauma Through Yoga with Zabie Yamaski. This gentle hatha yoga practice will focus on centering the mind, body and breath through choice and connection using different shapes/forms (asanas). The practice will mostly be seated, with some standing shapes/forms. This class is all levels, including if you've never practiced yoga before. Participants will have video off for your own confidentiality and feeling of safety while doing yoga in your preferred space. See more

When we teach consent, we need to discuss rejection, and to be good at sex, you have to be good at feelings, says Karen B.K. Chan. We know what we need. As queer youth, we know all too well the experience of having our self-knowledge dismissed. We are not too young to know ourselves. Our experiences and perspectives are valuable. Rainbow Youth participated in this needs assessment. We're excited to hear about the results from LGBT Youth Line's research across the province!
