I visited the Philippines last Jan and met several children very keen in playing tennis. Many of them can not afford to buy racquets and tennis shoes. I saw children as young as 10 years old working as a ball boy making $1.00 per match. Being a ball boy gives them opportunities to hopefully play tennis. Fellow tennis players I am asking for your help and support to give these children a chance to play tennis. A friend of mine by the name of Abe Uypala volunteers his ti...me to teach young children how to play tennis. He asked me to help him with any used tennis racquets and tennis shoes. If you have any to spare please let us give these children a chance to play the sport we love to play. I will collect both racquets and shoes until I have enough to send to the Philippines.
