**Update on the April HIGHER HORSEMANSHIP CLINICS! We have 1 spot available in the 2nd-7th Clinic! We also have someone needing to sell their spot in the 9th-14th clinic! ... Great Christmas present!
*Wise thoughts from Tigh Cowan* Just a few words on a yellow stud that I knew and knew well. He was born in 1979.... I spent 28 years with him; and marveled at the character of that horse till the very end. It was truly an honor to have spent the time with him. Frankly, no horse should ever be able to cross that line, but he did. Unless you have had one of his caliber, that may be hard to understand. Dad bred a handful of mares to him in 1981, that would be 26 colt crops we saw and worked with. He sired 450 plus foals in those 26 years. I would have started more Sun Frost foals than anyone and a large number of the Doc’s Jack Frost colts also. My Dad said, unless you’ve ridden a dozen or more, he didn’t have a lot of respect for your opinion on a bloodline or a certain horse. Over the years, in my opinion, I believe he was right. The Docs Jack Frost colts like the Sun Frost colts were very intelligent individuals which sometimes, if not careful, might work against you. That intelligence may have been misunderstood from time to time if you didn’t recognize what they were trying to do. Quote from Pat Cowan: Be damn careful what you teach them, because they are going to get it; whether it is right or wrong. And I can testify to that. The ability of these colts was amazing 30 years ago and is still very visible today. We spent some time in Oklahoma City at the BFA and was simply humbled at what the yellow stud has touched. As I watch the NFR, and see all those Sun Frost bred horses performing at that level, I think of our dad Pat Cowan, what he and Stanley Johnston might be thinking and realize how many lives that yellow stud has impacted. I know he did ours. He is simply amazing to me. What a hellava Tour Tigh Cowan
When good things come out of hard times!! We guess if your foal crop consists of only two, it's a huge bonus when they carry some of the best genetics!! We are excited to see what the future holds for these two Sun Frost bred prospects!! Sabres Sun Frosted Sabres Double Frost
Happy Sunday!! This interview is so fitting today!
We always love getting updates! Thanks Liz ! This daughter of Playin In Lightnin out of a daughter of Blue Boy Doc makes her home in Nevada. And it looks like she is catching on great to her job!! I think her daddy and granddaddy would be super proud of her!!

Congratulations Emma!! We are so proud of this past student! She is on her way to becoming a great horsewoman!
Just one of the great programs we are running this fall! Special thanks to Linette for making these awesome booklets up!!
We guess the good Lord needed a good one back! Over 30 years ago Rick Wiebe hired Greg to work his horse sale and that began a great friendship! For those lucky enough to have crossed paths with this gentleman we don't have to tell you what a special guy he was. He treated everyone fairly, knew great horses and ran one the the biggest, most successful horse sales this country has ever seen. He will forever be known for his honesty, integrity, fairness and eye for good horses.... When we say we have been blessed in the horse industry it is because of friends like Rick! RIP dear cowboy!
We have been missing our "Henry" while he is away getting an education, so we were excited to get this! A big THANK YOU to Ainsley Linnell for doing a great job!
