It’s small, but it’s helpful. All staff working in eldercare are so deserving. Their jobs are very stressful.

I was going to bet one of my sheep that this was in the prairies, specifically Saskatchewan. Apparently it’s in Ontario. Lol.

We need to be more creative than we have ever been to alleviate loneliness. Our care home in Montmartre applied for a federal grant that is supporting care homes during these difficult times. If we are successful we will be provided $5k to run a wheelchair yoga program, enhance our technology to provide better daily virtual church, purchase new supplies to run more art programs, and facilitate a intergenerational Legacy Project with the local high school. But this still isn’t enough. We all need to spend a little time thinking of what we can do to make life better for the elders in our communities. Life is hard enough without a pandemic. Every single one of us can make a difference. Message me and I will inspire you with ideas or put you in touch with some elders and homes in need.
