Happy Monday everyone! Here is a virtual class photo of our Level 5 English students with their teacher, Leanna. Continuing to learn together... while apart! Keep up the great work!
Students from the General Building Maintenance program went on a tour of the different air exchanging and heating systems on the roof of the Centre as part of the Building Systems module. Very informative!
Its Friday! And what better way to wrap up the week than by blessing the internet with photographic evidence of WICC Centre Director, Jad Deegan, riding a scoot...er to work. Coolest boss ever? Obviously. You’re welcome, world. #westislandcareercentre #doingisbelieving #easyrider #scooterboss
... And can't wait to see you all! Best of luck with your online classes!

***IMPORTANT MESSAGE*** Dear Students, We hope this message finds you doing well during these difficult times.... While our Centre remains closed as per directives from the Ministry of Education, our Centre teams are preparing resources and tools that would allow you the opportunity to continue part of your program online. Please continue to refer to our website and Facebook page for updates. When we are ready to launch online learning, we will be contacting our current students directly with more details. Take care and stay safe! A.Geller (on behalf of the SACC staff)
The Lester B. Pearson School Board is deeply saddened by the senseless and devastating attacks in Nova Scotia. We send our heartfelt condolences to all those im...pacted by this appalling event. To the families, friends, colleagues, and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police who lost one of their own, we grieve with you. To acknowledge the victims of the Nova Scotia shooting, the LBPSB has lowered the flags at our schools, centres, and head office as a sign of support for those whose lives are forever marred by gun violence.
Please read below Dear students, I hope this message finds you safe and sound at home.... Please know that the staff at SACC have you in our thoughts during this very difficult time. We wish we were with you, in class, working together on your learning as we normally would be at this time. However, as you know, the Covid-19 pandemic is a very serious health emergency that simply doesn't allow us to be together. Specifically, please know that Premier Legault has closed all schools and centres in the province until May 4th. Between now and May 4th, he has also mandated that schools NOT offer online instruction as this is not realistic across the province during this crisis, especially on such short notice and without the proper resources and training in place for all staff and students. That said, we are looking carefully at how to minimize the impact of this "pause" so that you have a smooth transition back to SACC and you reach your educational goals as quickly as possible. For now, take good care of yourselves, your families, your friends and your neighbours - we're all in this together. Take care and stay safe Adrian Geller Centre Director
Dear SACC students, I hope this message finds you well. These are very difficult times. On top of worrying about your personal safety with the spread of Covid-19, we know and are sympathetic to the fact that you are also very concerned about your studies here at SACC. The best way to stay informed is to regularly monitor updates on the LBPSB Covid-19 website: https://boardsite.lbpsb.qc.ca/covid-19... For now, and on behalf of all the staff, who I know are thinking of you, stay safe by social distancing and hand hygiene, stay informed through the news and our website and stay well by being physically active and using technology to keep in touch with friends and family. We sincerely hope to see you soon! Take care, Adrian Geller Centre Director
