Restored Car Odometer shows 43,886 miles (not confirmed) Automatic transmission VIN indicates the car was born a P code - 312 ci V-8 (#’s matching not confirmed) Power steering and brakes Dual exhaust Removable hard top with port holes and original trim Aftermarket older A/C unit Exterior paint Fiesta Red Restored XB code red and white interior Power windows and power seat All bright trim work in very good condition Continental kit Wire spoke wheel covers and white wall tires Who couldn’t see themselves driving this classic 1956 Ford Thunderbird along a tree lined country road on a sunny Sunday afternoon? Mr. Wm. Brown thoroughly enjoyed driving and showing this red 1956 Thunderbird whenever he could. The car has been restored at some point in its past and continues to show well. It appears to be quite straight and overall panel alignment including the hood and trunk lid is very good. The smooth red paint is bright and produces a brilliant shine however there are a small number of minor stone chips. The chrome bumpers show well as do all other bright chrome and stainless emblems, trim, window frames, original door handles and Thunderbird script emblems. The car is fitted with a pair of fender skirts and a spare tire continental kit. The red and white vinyl seat, and restored door panels, dash & interior trim show well. The car appears to retain its original gauges and an aftermarket A/C unit. The headliner shows well and the carpet was found to be in good condition. The engine bay is not highly detailed to a show car condition however it presents well and appears mostly period correct. Lot #1402 (Vehicle)... 1955 Ford Thunderbird (VIN P5FH170867) Highlights: Very nicely restored 1955 Ford Thunderbird finished in Raven Black VIN indicates born with a 292 ci V-8 with automatic transmission Odometer reads 38,055 miles (not confirmed) Power steering and brakes Removable hard top All factory original gauges including tachometer and clock 4-way power seat Restored and re-upholstered interior Bright exterior chrome and stainless trim in very good condition Wide white wall radial tires and correct stainless Ford wheel covers This restored 1955 Ford Thunderbird is powered by a P code 292 ci V-8 engine and shows very well both inside and out. The Raven Black finish is smooth and presents a brilliant shine. The removable hard top shows very well with no apparent issues. The body appears to be very straight and overall panel alignment, fit and finish show very well. The driver’s door could use an adjustment to the fit. The trunk is solid and restored. The car appears to have had a substantial restoration at some point in the not too distant past and was a favourite vehicle of Mr. Brown within his collection. The interior shows as being very authentic including re-upholstered seat and door panels. The factory original dash is in very good condition and appears to include all original gauges, knobs, radio and trim. The carpeting is in like new overall condition. The car sits on a matching set of wide white wall radial tires with original Ford steel rims and highly polished period correct appearing stainless Ford wheel covers.
