Thanks for supporting one of our very own in the Star Metro Community Choice Awards in the category of "Best Chiropractor"! As always, we appreciate the trust you place in all of our health care practitioners at the clinic and look forward to serving you well into the future!
Often the first piece of advice I'll give to a new patient!
A little something that our patients already know, but maybe we can share it with those who haven't yet chosen to enhance their health with the benefits of chiropractic!
Spending the weekend supporting the U14 Tier 2 Boys Provincial Soccer Championship!
An integral part of any athlete's health care regimen!
Thanks for nominating Dr. Rodney Thompson as Best Chiropractor in the Star Metro Halifax Community Choice Awards for 2018!Thanks for nominating Dr. Rodney Thompson as Best Chiropractor in the Star Metro Halifax Community Choice Awards for 2018!
Proud to have sponsored our own Central soccer team who received the silver medal in the Bruce Wagner Tournament this past weekend!
Excited to be sponsoring a major local sports event! Large crowd and a lot of hard work put in by some good friends of mine to make it all happen!
In spite of the chiropractic profession's advances into our current position of high standing amongst health care providers, there remain a few who would attempt to classify us as being unable to care for children. Even today I still hear of patient reports of a few pediatricians in Halifax who are willfully involved in this same dissemination of misinformation. Fortunately, the reality of research paints a much more appealing picture for those who take the time to gaze.
Congratulations to Gabe and our sponsored SUSA under 14 boys soccer team for their silver performance at the Connor Timmons Tournament. Had to go to the shootout for the decision. Proud of all you boys, you had a great game!
I've seen the ramifications of this in adults as well in the form of tingling in the hands as a result of disk damage...keep your phone to the front, not on your chest!
Article seems to be aimed mostly at the female, however the advice also applies to the men out there trying hard to get their six-packs!
A pretty solid article about the mechanics of a good squat, previously shared by a good friend of mine! Note, there is one thing that needs changing! The feet should be approximately slightly pointing out relative to the direction in which the thigh points when you are squatted down. If your stance is wider, your feet will point out more. Sitting in a chair, place your knees closer or further apart and note where your feet naturally falls as you place them down. That is the natural foot position for your squat at that particular stance width! Anything otherwise will stress and potentially damage the knees, and you won't be happy! Wider squats, for the record, are also easier on your hip joints and it is easier to squat in a more upright position for your back.
Strong bones do not come from calcium alone. Read on to find out how you can decrease your risks of developing osteoporosis and the fractures often associated with it.
Sitting's not so easy as one might think!
You may not want to talk much about it, but reading this might save your life some day!
Some good ideas to help us all enjoy our later years!
Not unusual to see runners come in with lower extremity injuries, often as a result of having been instructed to try to avoid heel strike!
Be careful about reading health books. You may die of a misprint. Mark Twain
I'll often tell someone to continue to train the good side to keep the injured side from getting weak. Here's some great exercises to help you get back in the game! Take particular not of how they're performed. Title is "How to Work Out When You Suffer from Leg Pain or Injury"
A local club we sponsor to help out. Great community involvement, very active club, top notch instruction, and a super atmosphere!
Nice, an article with references to back itself up! Difficult to argue with good research!
