SGCC - End of the 2020 Playing Season Dear Members, The Clubhouse will close and power cart rentals will no longer be available at the end of the workday on Friday, October 16, 2020. As per the previous message, the course will remain open for walkers. We ask that you respect the course if you continue to play. Face masks must be worn in the Clubhouse upon entry and when standing.... 2. Power cart rentals will be available but the cart MUST be returned to the Clubhouse PRIOR to 5:00 pm. 3. The message on the Club’s phone will be up-dated daily. Please call 536-3437 if need be. 4. All remaining alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages will be sold at reduced prices. TWO SACKVILLE GOLF CLUB JUNIORS SCORE ACES THIS 2020 SEASON MANN HITS HOLE IN ONE AT SACKVILLE GOLF CLUB On July 5th, with a gap wedge in hand, past junior member Matteo Mann returned to his former course to score a hole in one on #7 at the Sackville Golf and Country Club (SGCC). Witnessed that day by current junior members Jack and Ben Arsenault, Mann drove home his ace from 145 yards out.... Mann has returned to the SGCC after pursuing a career in major junior hockey over the past couple of years. This summer, on June 6th, he was drafted in the third round (40th overall) by the Chicoutimi Saguenéens of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. He is currently at hockey camp now in Chicoutimi. ALDER SCORES ACE AT SACKVILLE GOLF CLUB On Friday August 21, 12-year-old Aaron Alder was the second junior member of the Sackville Golf Club this summer to score an ace on the course. Using a pitching wedge, Alder dropped his single shot into the hole on number 7 from the red tees. The 100-yard ace was witnessed by fellow player Ben Arsenault, Alder's brother Seth, and his mother Jen Alder. Aaron is also a Sackville Minor Hockey player as well.
