With new rules for accessing the Sacred Heart School property, we are implementing a few changes to the pickup and drop-off procedures at the start and end of the day. Mornings: The exclusive access point to the school yard will be at the Kiss n Ride entrance on West Point Cove Road. Students are to be dropped off and picked up at the Kiss n Ride lane and will enter the playground from there. The Kiss n Ride will open at 8:20 am and close at 8:45 am. The hill near the ba...ck of the playground off Prince Street is no longer an access point to the school yard, as the area has been fenced. Prior to 8:45am, we will not be permitting students to enter through the front doors to the school so walkers/bike riders will have to follow the front sidewalk around the side of the school to the KnR access. The front of the school is a bussing lane only; cars are to enter the rear lot at the KnR only. Late students will be met at the main front doors and will sign in at the office. Afternoons: Pick-ups will take place at the Kiss n Ride, beginning at 2:55 for Kindergarten students and 3:05 for older students. Walkers will exit the building via the C door next to the Daycare entrance. Bus students will be loaded in the front of the school. Again, cars are not allowed in the front lot during dismissal. Thank you to all for your continued cooperation and commitment to student safety.

Chromebooks: We are now ready to begin collecting the Chromebooks that were loaned to families last Spring. Please send Chromebooks and chargers back to school with your students on their first scheduled day of class.

Kiss N Ride Protocol Be respectful of othe...rs and courteous to school staff; they are only trying to keep your child safe! * Kiss N Ride Morning Drop-Off is available from 8:20 am to 8:45 am * The Kiss N Ride lane is one way only and located along the north side of the school across from the Sacred Heart Cemetery on W Point Cove Rd. 1. Drive slowly into Kiss N Ride lane 2. Stop at indicated Unloading/Loading Zone. Follow direction of the staff 3. Parent stays in vehicle with vehicle running 4. Staff on duty will open passenger side door for all children to exit through. (Child should have backpack on their lap for quick exit) 5. Parent drives off once child has safely exited vehicle * Kiss N Ride After School Pick-Up is available from 3:05 pm - 3:30 pm * Cars cannot line up/pull over to wait along W Point Cove Rd. If you do not see your child, please keep moving and circle back. * Kinder kids get out a few minutes earlier (around 2:55-ish) so please be mindful of those parents entering the Kiss N Ride lane earlier. 1. Good evening all, Mrs. Kirton, Mr. Johnson and I have begun calling all families with classroom placements and school reopening information today, but have not yet been able to connect with everyone. We will continue to call in the next few days until we have reached everyone, but I want to reassure anyone who has not yet heard from us that you will be contacted shortly. Thank you to all that I have spoken to already (and Im sure Maria and Darren share this sentiment); I ...genuinely appreciate everyones understanding nature and patient discourse during these challenging times. It has been a great pleasure to connect with parents old and new and these positive conversations have strengthened my belief that together we will have a great start to another school year in spite of the challenges we face.
