The hassle of ingrown hairs Ingrown hairs happen in the beard from time to time, but if this is frequent for you, it could be time to review your skincare routine! A major culprit for ingrown hairs is dry skin. Dry skin tends to block pores and prevents hairs from fully coming out. Tips to keep in mind: 1. Gentle exfoliation under the beard is helpful to clear away dry skin. This can be done with the fingertips!... 2. Moisturizing with a beard oil is key to preventing dry skin. Applying the oil on the skin underneath is absolutely necessary! 3. Warm up the skin with a hot towel before shaving and cleaning up your lines. This allows the pores to open up first. 4. Replace the shaving blade often when using a razor to maintain and clean up lines. Dull blades can pull at the hair, damaging hair follicles @julesbrodeur
