Happy 1st Birthday Baby Girl . . . .... I didn't think this day would be so emotional! But here I am bawling writing this out . It has been such a wonderful year with you sweetheart. You were in a breech position and we tried a few different things to try and turn you, but stubborn you were! So, we scheduled a c-section which scared me a lot. I had heard from different women how hard the recovery could be, but it was the safest option. The early morning drive in to the hospital was nice and quiet. I was being prepped to go in for surgery at 8am. We couldn't wait to meet you . They gave me an epidural and it is the weirdest feeling ever. I remember as it was setting in, the team asked me if I could feel anything, and I said I wasn't sure. They replied that they had just stabbed me with something sharp so they were pretty sure I was good to go . And after what felt like an hour later (19 mins), we were informed that we had a baby girl *insert Faith Josephine into our lives . I will never forget the first time I heard you cry; you had a very strong set of lungs (also Nick watched pretty much the whole surgery ). It honestly didn't even feel real (for at least a few weeks), we had a little baby girl to take care of . And here we are, alive and healthy 1 year later!! Faith you are such a joy to our family, your personality is hilarious (I get such a kick out of you ), you are walking so much now, you have 6 teeth, you love being outside, you have been pointing to everything saying "dah" or "yah", responds to: honey bear, baby bear, Faithy poo (shes going to hate that!), Faithy bear and hunny bunny!!
