SAFE RIDE HOME SUDBURY COMPLETES ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL CAMPAIGN Safe Ride Home Sudbury celebrated the completion of another successful campaign on New Year’s Eve. Over fifteen nights starting in mid-November, teams of volunteers traveled over 30,000 kilometers while providing over 2,000 Sudburians and their vehicles a safe home. Lesli Green, President of Safe Ride Home Sudbury, thanked the volunteers, partners and sponsors for their steadfast support this season. Safe Ride Home Sudbury is a volunteer-driven organization dedicated to the fight against impaired driving. Clients are driven home in their own vehicle by a team of volunteers. The phones at Safe Ride Home Sudbury will be open from 8:00 PM New Years Eve to 3:00 AM New Years Morning. If you think there is a chance you might call for a ride, please be sure that you have proof of insurance for your vehicle with you before you go out. No evidence of insurance means no ride. Period. No exceptions. Also, please have a backup plan in place. Demand will be high and volunteers will be limited, so we might not be able to respond to everyone....
