PPE is not just for work.
We are open!! Today we offered our first non-contact first aid training. Every student received their own full body manikin and stayed socially distanced. To book training call 780-448-9624.
First Aid training is available for those who need it NOW! The online portion of our Canadian Red Cross blended first aid courses are now approved by Alberta OH&S as a temporary interim workplace first aid course until such time as the worker can complete the in-class component. The online completion certificate will be valid for 90 days and students will be required to take a skills session to obtain full certification when in-class training resumes. Call 780-448-9624 to register.
Due to government COVID-19 restrictions, First Aid & Safety Training Services Inc. is temporarily suspending training classes. If you would like to be notified when classes are being offered again please email [email protected] Thank you for your understanding. Stay safety out there!
COVID-19 We know there is a lot of concern regarding the COVID-19 virus. At First Aid & Safety Training Services Inc. we are taking extra care to ensure our classrooms are thoroughly disinfected before training and at this time, classes will continue to run as scheduled. We are asking students who are sick, have travelled or have been in contact with someone who has travelled to a destination with a travel health notice for COVID-19 to stay home and reschedule their courses ...for a later date. Here are some general ways to reduce your risk of getting sick: 1.Wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at 2.least 60% alcohol if soap and water are not available. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands. 3.Avoid close contact with people who are sick. 4.Stay home when you are sick. 5.Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, throw the tissue in the trash, and then wash your hands. 6.Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces with a commercial disinfectant/sanitizer. While the Public Health Agency of Canada has assessed the current public health risk associated with coronavirus as low, we will continue to monitor for developments very closely to ensure the health and safety of our clients and employees.
Sometimes it's tough to get someone who might be having a heart attack to go to hospital. Here's why... and what you can do about it.
In this episode of First Aid on the Streets, host Adam Growe explores one of the lesser-known things that can happen when someone starts choking on their food.

Happy #Halloween Have fun #trickortreating with these safety tips: Visit homes that have the porch light on. Make sure children know they should accept tre...ats at the door and not inside. Set agreed-to boundaries with your children. Provide yourself or the children with a flashlight to see better and to be better seen. Find more tips: http://bit.ly/32MCMmf See more
