#bullybekind Currently, the Government of Canada shows the latest bully statistics from 2012. An update is needed, yet the challenge to gain research from the general public exists when most people are scared to share their stories. Newfoundcare hopes to overcome that. ... Are you active in your community? You can join by sharing this simple phrase, #bullybekind to portray anti-bully behaviour. 4 things to look for this month, #bullybekind, Workshop, Partnerships, Survey Beginning November 1st, 2020 and running throughout the month, share your stories, (without naming names), experiences, educational material and messages of kindness in either a photo or video, by tagging your posts in Facebook or Twitter with #bullybekind Throughout the month of November, the goal will be to compile statistics, partnerships, educational material to share with the public, and spread the hashtag #bullybekind with acts of kindness. If you prefer to share your stories privately (without naming names), Newfoundcare will create posts on social media for others to read about your experience and/or overcoming bullying behaviour. A survey will be disseminated to the public to gain feedback on bullying in Newfoundland and Labrador. Partnerships will be formed throughout the month of November. SeniorNL has already joined the team to increase awareness and to participate in a workshop on World Kindness Day, November 13th, 2020, to create an anti-bullying task force with community leaders in Newfoundland and Labrador. To download the #bullybekind logo for promotional material, please email [email protected] and the file will be sent to you. If you would like to partner with Newfoundcare to raise awareness for #bullybekind please call 709-682-1001

With schools around the province starting again, it is important that we take the time to understand the safety protocols put in place during this difficult time. Rather than being afraid, let’s educate ourselves and our children on how to keep them safe while learning! #SafetyNL #covid19 #backtoschool
