Alberta Homeward Hound Rescue Bureau brought us some super adorable puppies to vaccinate today! All 6 of them did amazing for their first vaccines. We loved having them here

Momma Chai and her wonderful little kittens Latte, Venti, and Buttons came in for their first ever vaccinations today. Aren't they the cutest!!?

This sweet girl named Ellie came in for her fist visit after being rescued through Alberta Homeward Hound Rescue Bureau She is the sweetest little girl and was an all around perfect patient!

He has been missing since July 29 in Southfork and never left Southfork. Does anyone know whose cat this is? He is 13yr old neutered male and his name is Cider. He is super sweet and friendly. Last night this kitten was found alone by the Husky in Southfork. Is anyone missing her? Please let us know.

This little girl was siezed by the SPCA. She will be staying with us until we or the SPCA can find her a forever home. If you or you know anyone looking to add a furry friend to their family. Let us know!

Update: SAFE Team Rescue is taking these 4! We are so grateful and wish these babies and mom the best of luck! These 3 kittens and their mom were dumped on a farm recently and the farm owner brought them to us. They need to find a rescue to go to, so they can get the best start to their life. If anyone knows anyone who can take mom and her 3 kittens, that would be greatly appreciated and please send them our way! Our number is 587-274-0026. All are very friendly.

Important info! If your address or phone number has changed and your pet was microchipped with us, please let us know as soon as possible so we can update your information. Without up to date information (mostly phone numbers), it renders the microchips useless and this is a big issue with pets microchipped a while ago. Same with your client file here with us. :)

We are so lucky to see the cutest patients! This was Prince, who was in for unfortunately a broken paw but he is doing great with his splint and will be on the road to recovery! He was a wonderful pup to deal with during x-rays and splinting. Such a good boy.

Update:The dog is safe with Bylaw as we couldn't track his microchip information. This dog was found in Leduc today and brought in to the clinic. He has a microchip and a red collar. We were able to track the microchip to an out of service number unfortunately so we are trying our best to find the owner. If anyone knows this dog please call us at 587-274-0026.

We will be CLOSED this Friday, April 10th for Good Friday! We will remain open for Saturday, April 11th from 11am to 3pm and also will be back open again on Monday from 9am to 5pm. Have a good weekend and huge thank you to all of our clients who have been patient with us through out all of our changes in the clinic recently.

Nova came for her first visit with us earlier this week and was a wonderful patient! Look how adorable she is.

April is Parasite Control & Prevention Month!!! It is that time of year when the thaw happens and the weather starts to get warmer. This also means the ticks, fleas and other parasites end up being more prevalent and increases risk to our pets and even to us. We are here to provide you with as much knowledge as we can when it comes to your parasites and your pets health! We will be posting multiple times this month with info on different parasites as the month goes on. If you have any questions about what we are doing for parasite month, give us a call at 587-274-0026 and we will be happy to discuss it with you! We also would be happy to set you up with a deworming/tick and flea plan for you and your pet. Remember that prevention is better than cure!

Someone brought this intact male (NOT neutered) grey and white kitty in to the clinic just now. He was found down the road from us in Southfork. He is not microchipped or tattooed. Dear clients, we are changing our policy for the time being. We are going to be open but we will be doing a new system of having one appointment here at a time ...and we want to try to encourage one person per pet in the clinic at a time as well just to try to limit the amount of people coming in to the clinic. We will be sanitizing between clients and always sanitizing our debit machine every time it is touched. We will lock our door when someone is in the clinic and we ask for you to call us before coming in and we will let you know if you can come in. *Important info about pet food ordering* We realize this is a very stressful time during this pandemic however we just wanted to comfort you in expressing that there is no need to urgently order and stock up on pet food. Our distributor is experiencing extreme stress during this time as clinics are ordering in excess amounts to keep up with the demand of clients. At this point, there is no need to panic about pet food as the distributors will not be running out of food. If w...orst comes to worst and we have to close temporarily, we will have options through our online store to get your pet food delivered right to your door if need be. At this time, we have no plan to close. Dear clients, We value the health and safety of all of our staff, clients and their pets. As the situation with Covid-19 evolves, we will have more information but as of right now, we have no foreseeable plans to close our doors temporarily. We know things are escalating more and more each day and we will be planning to keep the public updated via our Facebook page and existing clients also through email should things get worse. We have been taking extra steps in order to ma...ke our clinic as clean as possible and to prevent risk of infection. The following steps have been put in to place: 1) All high touch surfaces (door handles, light switches, debit machine, phones, keyboards/mouse, faucets, counter tops, food areas, water dispenser tab and other surfaces) will be disinfected multiple times a day and even some after every client (debit machine and door handles). 2) Our debit machine now accepts tap as a payment method. 3) The receptionists, technician and doctor will disinfect their hands frequently, after every patient and client interaction as normal protocol. 4) Any staff who are feeling unwell, have been told to stay home and are all aware of the signs and symptoms to watch out for. 5) We encourage the use of our hand sanitizer placed in our reception area by all of our clients. If you have food you would like to order for your pets, please call us and we will ensure we order for you. At Southfork Animal Hospital we love to help you and your pets regardless of any obstacles in our way but we want to do so in a safe and responsible manner.

We got a visit from the puppies at Alberta Homeward Hound Rescue Bureau! They are growing so fast and are super adorable! They have their eyes open now and it looks like some will have blue eyes. Theyre SO cute! We cant wait to see them grow even more.
